Pete CastiglionePETE CASTIGLIONE, CEO
As CEO, Pete is involved in all aspects of Whertec’s business. An experienced executive, Pete has successfully recruited new leaders to the Whertec team, and in the process has built a company uniquely qualified in the industry.

Pete has built and marketed several businesses, led projects teams, planned and implemented operations, and developed innovative technical process improvements. His specific education in business, along with a mastery of the materials and application processes, help give Whertec customers the competitive edge

Pete personally visits and inspects on-going projects to ensure that Whertec clients across North America and Europe receive the best technical, cost-effective solutions. He thrives on working with customers, preparing innovative programs and recruiting new people to help the company grow. Pete’s real-world expertise, combined with a drive to exceed customer expectations, has earned him a reputation for excellence.

Ed LloydED LLOYD, VP of Business Development
Ed’s industry experience combined with a reputation for innovative solutions ensure that Whertec customers receive the best technical and cost effective solutions for their projects. Both Whertec customers and staff rely on Ed’s ability to analyze the latest innovations in materials science and technology against the realities of customer facilities, resources and budgets.

Ed is a member of the American Society of Metals, American Welding Society, National Association of Corrosion Engineers and the Technical Association of the Pulp & Paper Industry (TAPPI).


Mark SmithMARK SMITH, VP of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Mark is responsible for keeping Whertec’s nationwide project teams and divisional operations running smoothly. Experienced in personnel management, logistics, project management, transportation, customer relations and quality assurance, Mark oversees the processes that assure employee responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

Tony LeopardiTONY LEOPARDI, Director of Safety
As Director of Safety, Tony is responsible for the rigorous and continuous procedures that ensure safety and regulatory compliance for Whertec employees, the contractors they work with, and the facilities they operate in.

Since safety is Whertec’s top priority, Tony requires all employees to complete a minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training prior to working in the field. His focus is on training, testing, certifications of Whertec employees and the protection of employees, customers, and facilities.

Tony holds a National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) Training certificate with the following endorsements:
  • Safety Manager / Trainer Certification
  • Safety Training Specialist
  • Safety Planning Specialist
  • Certified Safety Auditor
  • Certified Safety Manager

Robert BarlowROBERT BARLOW, VP of Finance
Since joining Whertec, Robert has demonstrated a commitment to excellence. As the man in charge of budgets and strategic finance initiatives, Robert has streamlined expense processing policies, job costing and reporting, enabling the company to increase productivity.

With prior experience in banking, auditing, construction, distribution, and as a business owner, Robert has helped Whertec implement new and innovative practices to facilitate growth and profitability. He has boosted Whertec’s capabilities by implementing key risk-management procedures and software upgrades, as well as accounting, finance and organizational development initiatives.

Robert is a certified general contractor in the State of Florida.
